Alan Stagmeier - Litigation Attorney
Brief info

Alan Stagmeier is the head litigation attorney at Dan Chapman & Associates. Alan fights the insurance companies in court for our clients.

Education & Background
Born and raised in south Georgia, I graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University and obtained my law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. After many years in Florida, I recently moved home to Georgia with my wife and inspiration, Dana. We are the proud parents of two rescued dogs, Willa and Wonky, and the newest addition to our family is a baby boy due in August 2018.

My passion is obtaining justice for those who have been hurt or killed because of the carelessness or wrongdoing of others, and the focus of my current practice is serious motor vehicle and trucking crashes.

“Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”

-Martin Luther King, Sermon at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, 1957

Alan Stagmeier

For the first seven years of my career, I successfully represented large corporations, doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, and insurance companies in wrongful death and serious injury cases. In 2011, I left behind my partnership with a state-wide civil defense firm in Florida to begin representing the families of those who have been hurt or tragically killed. I began that journey with one of the largest personal injury law firms in the country, for which I built a successful, multi-state Trucking Litigation practice group.

Since leaving the defense, I have recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of my clients, including a multi-million-dollar verdict in which the jury deliberated for less than one hour. I have been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the “Top 40 Under 40”, by Florida Trend as one of the “Legal Elite”, by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and as one of America’s Top 100 “High-Stakes Litigators”. I have won jury trials in a wide variety of cases, including those involving allegations of medical malpractice, products liability, negligent security, premises liability, and motor vehicle negligence.
